Lou is a member of the Richard Ward Artistic Team

  • Lou completed an in-salon apprenticeship and college training in both cutting/styling and colour before realising her passion lay in colour, undertaking her L’Oréal Colour Specialist degree in 2009. In 2010 she joined us from another prestigious London salon where she was Artistic Director. Lou rapidly built up a devoted clientele who appreciated her love of working with clients natural shades and tones, especially developing techniques to grow out colours and blend greys. Lou and was with us up until 2020 where she took some time out from the salon to train as an addiction councillor. Lou missed the RW team and rejoined the fold on a part time basis in 2022. Both her colleagues and her faithful following are delighted to find her back with her work family. Not just a talented colourist, Lou is also adept in the field of hair extensions, specialising in the Beauty Works brand.

  • Every member of the Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa Team is fully qualified and extensively trained in every aspect of technical services however Lou’s particular areas of expertise include:

    • Men’s Colour - Increasingly popular with her burgeoning male clientele, Lou ensures her gents colour looks are natural and subtle.

    • Classic Highlights - Lou’s precision application technique ensured her highlights are perfectly woven and her colour placement is perfection. Lou carries out her trademark detailed consultation to discover the perfect tones for you, whether you want to whisper, shout or scream your choice of highlights.

    • Balayage - Lou worked closely with Technical Director Mario to ensure her balayage and ombre skills are second to none, working with hair’s natural curl formation, depths and tones to create a tailor made look.

    • Curly hair - Having curly hair herself, Lou is passionate about working with curls, both in terms of colour and technically. She works with natural curl patterns to deliver beautiful results on this much misunderstood hair type.

    • Hair Extensions - Trained in Beauty Works hair extensions, Lou works in creating seamless, natural blends using tapes and other premium methods. As an experienced colourist, she expertly matches tones and customizes shades for the perfect colour blend, ensuring every client leaves with hair that looks effortlessly flawless and beautiful.
