Prices for technical work do not include finish. All technical services require you to book an accompanying blow dry/ cut & blow dry.

  • Our prices are structured so you can tailor-make your service to suit your own personal budget. Prices are tiered according to experience, so feel free to cherry-pick what element of your customer experience you need to be premium and specialist, and economise where required by visiting one of our younger, but still highly skilled team members. With most of our team having gone through our extensive training system in-house, we can guarantee excellent standards across the board in all the services we offer. When time is precious, your technician can suggest interim services (for example Quick Fix T-section highlights) to tide you over between your regular, full-length visits.

    We want Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa to be an affordable luxury, so you can choose where you want to splash out and what part of your visit is the most important for you. Never a company to take our customers for granted, we know one size most certainly does not fit all!   • Our technical team will carry out in-depth consultations free of charge to analyse your skin tone and natural colour palette (warm or cool, contrast or blend) as well as colour changes and conversions, applications, techniques and enhancement services and generally advise on all aspects of hair colouring. It’s our policy to conduct a Colour MOT every third visit for existing clients to ensure we are on track to deliver your dream colour. Our experts work as a team and so getting second opinions from colleagues is essential at times. We are proud to offer Vegan colour alternatives.

    With the aim of ensuring consistency and continuity with your service from our technical, cutting & styling and barbering team, we would suggest asking your colour technician to take a picture of your finished look on your personal mobile phone which can act as an on-going reference for any future appointments and treatment plans.

Creative Colour

  • Created either freehand (Balayage) or using foil (Foilage) our technicians choose the right technique for you to create a shimmering, natural-looking effect. Hair is left darker at the roots, gradually lightening through the mid-lengths and ends for a blended, ‘dip-dyed’, sun kissed look. Available with selected colour technicians, these techniques can be adapted to suit any age or style, and is ideal for wearable, low-maintenance yet couture colour.

At Richard Ward we aim to offer a 360 degree, holistic approach to the technical excellence we consistently deliver. All consultations are complimentary, but technical services and any additional recommended services or products are not. Our technical team will carry out in-depth consultations to analyse your skin tone and colouring (warm or cool, contrast or blend), colour changes/conversions, applications, techniques and services to give you a fantastic end result. The team will also go to the next level to offer clients in-depth advice on how we can best maintain the wellbeing, health and vitality of your hair, pre- and post-colour service.

As an introductory offer for first-time colour clients, this package covers all the add-on services and products recommended by our experts (usual price £105).

  • Blow dry with a Senior Stylist:
    You (and we!) need to see the end result of all your colour work before you leave the salon, not to mention our commitment to ensure you leave looking fabulous.

    Olaplex:
    Recommended with all technical services, Olaplex uniquely maximises strength and minimises damage during the colour process, working to protect and strengthen hair’s bonds to give noticeably stronger, softer and healthier coloured hair.

    Take Home Richard Ward Salon Professional Shampoo & Conditioner:
    Using the correct shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair is vital to help maintain vitality, reduce colour fade and optimise shine and manageability. We prescribe the expert products you can use at home to give you a perfect finish and re-create salon-groomed hair.
