Previously one of the Smile team members and having trained in all technical areas — colour, cutting and styling – Denise is primarily a stylist at Creative Director level.
However, in her former salon where she worked for the majority of her career Denise also did technical work with her own clientele and enjoys the diversity of both fields. Never to miss an opportunity at Richard Ward, we saw potential to promote this technical side of her work within the salon. While positioned as a Colour Technician in terms of price, this does not represent her level of expertise in the colour field and we feel it offers our clients a great opportunity to experience her level of expertise that belies her price tier.
Every member of the Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa Team is fully qualified and extensively trained in every aspect of hair services however Denise’s particular areas of expertise include:
- Men’s Colour – With an extensive male clientele, Denise has become somewhat of an authority on men’s hair colouring. Whether it be some simple comb-ons to hide specific areas of grey or an all over Homme colour, she will always strive to keep the result looking so natural not even your friends would know.
- Glossy Brunettes – Being a beautiful brunette herself, Denise can really appreciate how to work with the darker base colours to give greater depth, tone and shine. Denise will help you through the process of understanding that being a brunette does not always have to limit your technical options and see there is a whole world of technical delights just waiting for brunettes to discover.
- Tint & Highlights – Denise really enjoys this combined colour process as you can individualise the end result to best meet the client’s needs and colour expectations. Working with hair’s natural texture and density, she uses enriching tones and baby lights to create depth and interest, enhancing the cut and bringing the look to life, and making the single colour process a little more inspiring and exciting.
- Global Colour Application – Denise’s level of expertise far exceeds her title and she takes great pride in offering a precision application and consistency in her technical all-over colour processes.
- Memory Forme – Denise really enjoys this process of making a client’s hair (and life) easier and more manageable when they are away from the salon. She has worked with these products extensively and has a real in-depth understanding of what is achievable to meet the client’s expectation of the end result.
